CFUW Wolfville Wins National Recognition
CFUW Wolfville has been recognized by CARE Canada for its support of CFUW’s International Women’s Day 2011 project, a fundraiser in support of CARE Canada’s Zambian Country Office. Our Club was recognized at the 2011 AGM in St. John’s, NL. The plaque was recently presented to CFUW Wolfville by the National President of CFUW, Brenda Wallace, while she was visiting the various Maritime Clubs.
CARE develops and implements innovative programs that address the root causes of gender inequality and poverty in Zambia by empowering women and girls with the skills, tools, and services they need to become self sufficient, stand up for their rights, and build better lives for themselves and their communities.
